What a fabulous afternoon/ evening I'm still grinning now!
Rigged 7m sail and large board I knew I was gonna be well over powdered
but most times the wind drops off as soon as ive done 1 run not today
though!
Usualy there are quite a few lulls in the wind at brog but not today it was
constant blasting back and forth.
Some times really over powered and rally hanging on for dear life. Im still
not quite there with the gybes I was hoping for the plane in and plane out
today but just can't get the rig to flick proper not sure if im doing it
too late or to early. I just can't get sheeted in quick enough on the new
tack.
Decided to have a go in the race (see how many gybes I can get wet on) got
a good start and even got round the first gybe !, I just can't gybe in the
races. I was really quick in a straight line was overtaking and people but
always lose it on the corners.
On one of my many dunkings Tim decided to try and give me a helping hand in
falling inagain with a bit of contact may of dropped the rig but I didn't
fall in !
I started to get the hang of gybing again and done the last 3 laps without
falling in and come really close to planning all the way round. Managed
to come in 4th in the end (thats what it said on the results cos I didn't
have a clue I didn't even know how many laps the race was!)
And the evening was finished off with fish n chips
Gopnna give it 5 stars had a fantastic sail even if didn't get the gybe
